Utilizing recommendations for siting approved by CDFW and guidance generated by analyses conducted by PIs at UC Santa Cruz in year 1 of the project, monitoring will be conducted using methods statistically compatible with data from the Baseline Program for two years (2016 and 2017). PI Caselle will also collaborate with PIs at UC Santa Cruz to ensure compatibility and integration of the deliverables identified below with products generated by PIs at UC Santa Cruz. This work will be completed by June 2018.
Deliverables: PI Caselle will be responsible for the production and delivery of the following to PIs at UC Santa Cruz: 1) data and metadata; 2) annual progress report(s); and 3) a final technical report. [c1]
Data, Metadata, & Other Assets
Data and associated metadata will adhere to the MPA Monitoring Data and Metadata Standards and be delivered to the principle investigators (PIs) at UC Santa Cruz before or as part of the completion of the project. Data deliverables may include, but are not limited to, databases, spreadsheets, maps, and GIS layers. Sufficient metadata will also be provided to fully describe the data, collection methods, and data reporting structure following detailed guidelines for data and metadata as provided in the MPA Monitoring Data and Metadata Standards.
Upon delivery to PIs at UC Santa Cruz and thereafter, all data and metadata will be available to the public and other researchers in accordance with confidentiality and sensitive information protection practices described below. UCSB PI Caselle, however, will retain the right to publish results before and after project completion. Project data may be used to support additional analyses, and may be included or summarized in subsequent reports and other materials, in print and/or electronically.
