Responsible for all aspects of development and operation including administration, planning, regulatory compliance, construction, resource management, restoration, personnel, purchasing, and fundraising for two field research stations and ecological reserves including extensive housing, laboratory facilities, office and computer facilities, natural habitat, roads, trails, a snow study area, and experimental streams

Served as Project Manager and PI on a major NSF-funded laboratory renovation
Renegotiated a new 30-year lease for SNARL with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
Negotiated with the NSF-funded National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON). to establish the Core Aquatic Site and STREON site for NEON Domain 17 at SNARL. This is a thirty year commitment to SNARL from NSF and the only NEON site in UC.
Established “The Valentine Reserve Fund” a donor group in support of the Reserve with both recurring gifts (>$120K/yr) and major gifts.
Secured permanent corporate funding for the VESR Outdoor Science Education Program
Developed and implemented a forest management plan for Valentine Camp
