Reniel Cabral
Assistant Researcher, Marine Science Institute and Bren School of Environmental Science and Management

I am interested in fisheries, marine ecology, conservation biology, coastal resource management, marine spatial planning, and complexity science, among other topics. I use methods from quantitative ecology, complexity science, data science, and economics – coupling field data and computation to come up with innovative solutions to the world’s fisheries and conservation problems.
