We're looking for enthusiastic undergrads to join us for our summer dive season monitoring Marine Protected Areas across the Channel Islands!

Over the last 20 years, our team has been monitoring MPAs throughout the Santa Barbara Channel, tracking changes in biodiversity and abundance across Southern California's rocky reef kelp forest ecosystems. We are looking for dedicated divers to work with us to continue collecting this critically important data. Positions will consist of a mix of field and laboratory work, with both day and overnight trips to dive the Channel Islands. Divers will be trained on survey techniques, in situ organism identification, and make over 100 dives in some of the world's coolest kelp forests!

Stipends available for motivated undergraduates looking to get their feet wet and spend the summer as a part of our team. Applicants MUST have active AAUS status by June 20th, 2022 and be available continuously from the end of spring quarter to the beginning of fall quarter.
