UCSB PI Roberts will contribute to this research effort through a combination of remote sensing training, development of a workshop, and intern training. UCSB Co-PI Lambert will contribute scientifically by extending current research investigating the ability of landscape (NASA products) and local (UAV-based) remote sensing to study a dryland river system where both Lambert and Roberts have worked previously. The field component led by Lambert will include field/laboratory training for CalPoly and UCSB students.
