Abstract
Our goal is to identify financial instruments that reduce risk and enhance the financial viability
of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) projects, specifically ecosystem restoration. We
aim to unlock investment through effective risk mitigation and co-benefit integration, resolve
uncertainties around the most viable ecosystem restoration mCDR approaches, and provide
pathways to scale deployment and mitigate climate change.
