Dr. Lester will participate as a research advisor in the first year of this team project led by Resilient Cities Catalyst (RCC). Dr. Lester will advise across two main tasks of the RCC grant from the State Coastal Conservancy in 2025: 1) Synthesize and Analyze Existing Goleta Slough Information to Support Project Implementation and 2) Integrating Communities’ and Stakeholders’ Shared Vision into Accelerated Projects. The project will engage the local community to develop a shared vision, build local capacity, and prepare concept level planning documents to advance priority resilience projects for community, natural, and manmade assets across the Goleta Slough area.
