Abstract

Our goal is to identify, quantify, and track use and fate of polymer resins, synthetic fibers, and additives for all use sectors in California through time. A secondary goal of this analysis is to understand the distributional impacts of consumption patterns and end of life management in the state to identify communities most impacted by plastic pollution. The resulting information will be used to inform strategic engagements by TNC CA’s Plastics Strategy and to potentially create a resource that is used to guide decision-maker actions and prioritizations as well.
