Abstract

Planning level study of 30-year sea level rise adaptation options (technical studies and feasibility reports) for the
UCSB Main Campus ocean shoreline (~1.5 miles, Manzanita Village (UCSB/Isla Vista property line) to Goleta Beach) in support of conceptual level adaptation plans to: (1) maintain continuous public access to and along the shoreline of the UCSB main campus (CCT); (2) adapt, protect, and restore coastal resources at the campus lagoon (campus lagoon; beaches and bluffs/cliffs; cultural resources); and (3) relocate and sustain as necessary campus infrastructure and educational, research, and residential facilities, consistent with the certified UCSB Sea Level Rise Adaptation Strategy.
