I am interested in infectious disease ecology, with a special focus on marine and aquatic ecosystems. My past projects have focused on the effects of climate and environmental change on the dynamics of infectious disease, including diseases of Caribbean coral reefs and pandemic influenza. I am currently studying the potential for restoration of a native freshwater prawn species in West Africa to act as a biological control agent for schistosomiasis, a human parasite.
