This funding award is in support of Dr. Culver's Sea Grant Extension program, a program focused on discovering and transferring science-based knowledge to help California and its residents better balance the competing needs of using and conserving coastal and marine resources for future generations. Funds will be used to support activities and operating expenses for her research, education and outreach program. Specifically, funds are allocated toward support staff and student stipends for assisting Culver with program activities, including lab and field work, information gathering and synthesis, outreach and office support. General operating expenses are included for laboratory supplies, student internships for engagement in program activities and community stipends for outreach material development, technical input and review.
