Abstract
The UCSB Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration will support arthropod conservation and biodiversity data infrastructure at the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve. This work will use existing regional occurrence records, environmental data layers, and available Dangermond Preserve datasets to develop an expected arthropod fauna model for the Preserve. The project will also support targeted field surveys, improve pathways for occurrence and specimen data to reach GBIF, and provide recommendations for natural history collections infrastructure, specimen vouchering, imaging, and biodiversity data management at the Preserve.
